Dance Dance Dance

I got this dress a few years back from the BCBG outlet and I never had the opportunity to wear it. Finally I had a concert to go to and it is a great winter/holiday dress so I had to wear it. At least before the world ended.

Style Spotlight: Marisa Milisic
 aka my partner in crime

Our boss said her flannel made her look like Larry the Cable Guy. Which is true if Larry the cable whatever was a good looking 20 year old girl.

Marisa's style is ever evolving, much like mine, maybe that's why we get along, yay chameleons.

You see her dressed like a grunge goddess by day, as seen here, and by night she transforms into a sex kitten. Reigning from San Diego, Whale's Vagina, or what have you, Marisa tip toes on the boundaries of hip, trendy, indie, hippie, and whatever other label you want to slap on someone. Marisa wears whatever the hell she pleases, which is something that should inspire any stone fox. It's not about wearing whatever Nasty Gal recently added to their site, nor is it about wearing something just fashionable enough to skate by. It's about having the confidence to take it the step further, and if wearing a sleeveless Larry the Cable Guy flannel is what it takes, then you go Glenn Coco.

Anyways this Croatian cutie is pretty dope and maybe one day I'll actually interview her, instead of rant about her (because I have a big lesbian crush on her) while inserting awkward movie allusions.

See what I did there?

GET IN THE WATER, wait what?
It's late. Things are getting weird.

Beanie: Burton
Skeleton Hand Tank: UNIF
Flannel: Larry the Cable Guy, right off his back.
Leather Jacket: Silence and Noise
Leggings: I am too lazy to text her and ask
Moto Boots: Report (I REALLY WANT THESE)

Fall 2012 Semester

Creative writing for non fiction was one of my favorite classes, perhaps I'll share a story one day on here but with this being so public I wouldn't want to offend anyone I write about, but that's inevitable in the future so....(warning: never get on a writers bad side but, on the other hand they say you never die if you know a writer).

Back to the point, take a look at the websites and stop motion video I made for Digital Art!

(This is my Technology Arts and Media portal, which is a home page for everything that I do that I made when I applied for my minor)

(This is the site I made for Digital Media class that contains all of the projects we did throughout the semester)

And this ladies and gentlemen is the stop motion I made that I really shouldn't have but our giant pet bear is just too funny to not document.

Beach Baby

Whenever I am home I find myself overflowing with creativity. This shoot was so much fun. I think it's because my mom is so supportive and loves coming along on these little adventures of mine. She's in no doubt my best friend. It's hard to even see her as my mother sometimes.

She told me the other day,"You know I think we are connected on another level. Yeah in this life I'm your mother but in another, who knows maybe you'll be mine."

I am so blessed to be her daughter in this life or any other. She raised me so well, though I of course am just as screwed up as any other, I am incredibly grateful to have this whimsical mother. She is such a talented artist and without her encouragement I would never have the attitude and confidence I have today.

She is such a free spirit and all I want is for her to be happy. I love her dearly. She has been with me since day one of these shoots and together we have grown. After every one we both get so excited, "This was the best one yet!" Just like my father says after almost every meal he cooks.

Like father, like wife, like daughter.
Oh and then there's my 23 year old brother...he fits in there somewhere.

I never have really expressed emotions on here regarding my family, maybe it's the holidays or maybe it's the seventy degree sunny weather getting to me, but they're amazing. The greatest people I know, and I can't wait for everyone from my life in Boulder to meet them.

Enough of the ramble, lets talk clothes.

This is one of my purchases from winning a $500 gift card to Billabong from their Loobook Summer Style contest. I am really ecstatic I won because I always go into surf shops when I am back home in Florida and sort of cry because I want all of the beachy surf clothes but I can't often afford them. So upon winning the giftcard I went on my inner flower child shopping spree and got this ever so sweet dress, along with many other hippy inspired pieces (thank god because I can never stick with one style as you can tell from my varying posts).

You'll be seeing a lot of posts featuring my new Billabong pieces so stay tuned!

Shoes: Doc Martens (Won them on Ebay though!)
Flower Headband: DIY (Hot Glue, Dollar Store Flowers, Felt, Plastic Headband)
Accessories: Nikon FM2

oh get a laugh!

it snowed!! finally!

Not much going on here. Stole this sweater from my roommate and wore the same mukluks I wear whenever it is below freezing. These boots are my everything...they were my mom's and maybe one day they'll be my daughters...if I can ever let go of them.

touch of death

Will brick walls always make amazing back drops? Too cliche? I think not.

Oh also, Dim Mak means touch of death, I'm into it.

Jacket: Army Navy Surplus. Please, please, please consider finding the nearest army navy surplus. It drives me crazy that people are walking into Urban Outfitters and buying a jacket for $89 dollars that is made of cheap material when you can buy an authentic army jacket for $15 that a united states service member wore. Support our country and be fashionable at the same time, c'mon.

Shirt: Dim Mak Recs (Felix Cartal you're beautiful)

Leggings: Wetlook (Gift)

a breath of fresh air

The past few months have been something else. Working, school, friends, going out; it's all been very fun but really hectic. I am really glad my friend from home, Nicole, came out to visit when she did. She was like a breath of fresh air. I had missed her so much. Her company made me feel more "me" again. I love this town more than anything but there are those times when it's just too much. Winding down and having fun with this girl, while showing her the mountains and a real college campus, was something I really needed.

This jacket is a substitute for the Siberian husky and pet fox I can't have until I graduate or settle down. It's basically a fur blanket in the form of a coat. And these pants, well they're killer. I have dreamed of owning these pants and I can't get enough of them.

Jacket: Ross Dress for Less
Pants: Billabong
Tank Top: Brandy Melville

Say hi to nicole! She hasn't made an appearance on stone fox in a long time!
