Taking the crochet out of Coachella

I have always been a lover of crochet tops. And festival style. If you know me, then you know that I would probably be in heaven if I could just wear festival inspired clothing all of the time and style girls for Coachella for a living. Because all you need in life is a good hat and a good kimono. So when I saw this top from Windsor Store, I knew I wanted to have it. But with all of my festival dreams too far out into the future, and honestly way too cold for a crochet halter top (Outside Lands, I love you but I hate you), I knew I wanted to style this top for day to day wear. So this post is showing all of you gorgeous ladies that you can take your festival pieces and still make them suitable for brunch with the gals. P.S. I am letting you all in on a huge secret on where you buy kimonos for an affordable price...with a link to the shop! Just head down to 'The Details' of look one.

How to style festival inspired pieces for everyday wear
1. cardigans and sweaters are your friends
2. try a mature heel, stray away from fringe boots.
3. ditch the hats, try minimal accessories
4. try dark jeans or longer shorts.

This look changed entirely with the swap of a sweater and a heel. I ditched the hat and all of a sudden this look was ready for a casual weekend. It's easy to take things to an extreme, all you have to do is tone the look down to get it ready for a day to day look. I definitely would have swapped out my cutoffs for a pair of J.Crew Chinos if I had them with me for this shoot!
