How To Wear Culotte or Gaucho Jeans

This is probably one of my most coveted looks of the season. The denim culotte trend will definitely carry into fall, so you might as well invest in a pair of culotte or gaucho jeans now! Bring back the 12 year old in you, that rocked gauchos (with no back pockets) like it was nobody's business. I remember being the weirdo that rocked these pants, but I had no idea it was going to be this cool 10 years later! My roommate and I joked about the gauchos we owned, wearing them with flatforms and's a wonder we made it out of our small town of Ponte Vedra alive! Anyways, here are four ways to wear culotte jeans in a simple, stylish, and accessible way. But if you want to skip the tips and get the denim culottes I've had my eyes on for a while now, just buy these Vale Denim Frayed Culottes.

  1. The Cool Girl Look – A sleeveless trench, white v-neck tank, and a black tasseled clutch with take a pair of light wash denim gauchos to the next level. Pair with black sandals or slip on vans.
  2.  The Feminine Bohemian – Lace, chambray, crystals. The recipe for a perfect bohemian look. These chambray culottes are the cutest pants I have laid my eyes on. Tuck in a lacy top with a gold collar and you're done!
  3. The OG – My original inspiration for this new obsession (denim culottes) came from Vale Denim. The seed was plated and I couldn't stop obsessing. The look I saw was a turtle neck sweater, wide brim fedora, and some booties. Simple as that. And ever since I have been hooked. Which is where I drew inspiration for this look.
  4. The Easy Does It – I tried on this Kimchi Blue top at Urban Outfitters and had to force myself not to buy it. It was a gray layer piece and was made for the 'half-tuck'. Paired with these KILLER shoes, this look is a winner.
