You know fall is coming around the corner when abstract floral prints start to take over. When I found this beige and blue shift with ink blotted florals by White Crow, I was actually unsure. But then I paired it with a faux leather moto vest and all of a sudden, it felt like the world made sense for once (sarcasm). I added bohemian accessories by The 2 Bandits, a flat top wide brim hat, and black booties to complete this look. It was one of those outfits that just came together out of nowhere but worked so well. Kind of like the way I discovered my new favorite band, Husky. I was browsing the internet complaining that I hadn't found any new music when I remembered this song I heard on my bike ride to work. I didn't look at the artist, but knew it was a Tame Impala song. I honestly thought it was just an acoustic version of a Let It Happen by Tame Impala...but when I looked it up later, I saw the song was a cover by a band called Husky (listen to it here). Originally from Australia, Husky's indie-folk music captures that feel-good sound that immediately gets you hooked. I have been listening to them for days now, I didn't expect it coming, but it was that sound I have been yearning for. Fleet Foxes meets Andrew Bird and Boy & Bear, with an added element Of Monsters and Men (I don't even like Of Monsters and Men)! I could go on forever trying to describe the sound of their music, but that would be a waste, you should just go ahead and listen, because music was made to listen to, not read about. Oh and watch this video of husky performing to get that, "Giddy oh my god," feeling too.
